| | | Intermountain Centers is a private, not-for-profit service organization, which provides behavioral health services in southern Arizona, including the Tohono O'odham nation. We are currently recruiting to fill a full-time Van Driver position in Sells, AZ for behavioral health services for Intermountain Centers' Sells, Arizona, office. Duties include providing safe, reliable and courteous transportation service to clients; to operate and maintain assigned vehicles ; and to maintain vehicle and other required records.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner Assists passengers in and out of the vehicle; operates ramps, lifts and security devices as needed Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for clients and program needs Presents safety briefing to passengers prior to each trip departure; ensures continuous use of safety belts Prevents smoking, eating or drinking in the vehicle Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean, inside and outside Maintains accurate up-to-date records on trip sheets, client transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested by supervisor Performs minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required. Fuels the assigned vehicle(s) Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance to minimize service interruptions Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers, and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrive Serves as a positive role model while providing transportation service. Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance | Skills/Requirements
| | | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately Ability to read and interpret road signs Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to establish effective professional relationships with clients, co-workers and supervisors Ability to prepare concise and accurate records and reports Extensive knowledge of the operation and features of assigned vehicle(s) Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs Reasoning skills adequate to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions Ability to administer First Aid and CPR Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience and legal requirements
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 21 years of age. Possess a valid State Drivers License and 39-month driving record that meets insurance requirements Legal record void of any felony CPR and First Aide Certified (ICHD provides training) All employees must be fingerprinted
